Good Energy Solar Export Tariffs: Rates 2026

Checked 10 July 2026: Good Energy’s dedicated export-tariff page lists Solar Savings at 12p/kWh and Solar Savings Exclusive at 25p/kWh for 12 months. The exclusive rate requires a qualifying Good Energy solar-and-battery installation and Good Energy import supply.

Direct clarification: Good Energy confirmed by email on 10 July 2026 that 12p/kWh is the current standard Solar Savings rate for new applications. Its team said the stale 15p wording on some solar sales pages would be passed to the web team for review.

Why did some Good Energy pages say 15p?

The dedicated export-tariff page and July 2026 savings examples use 12p, while separate solar-product and offer pages still contained 15p wording on the check date. Good Energy’s written reply confirmed 12p for new standard applications and said the inconsistent pages would be reviewed. The contract and tariff information label still govern.

What happens after the 25p year?

Good Energy says the Exclusive product is fixed for 12 months and then rolls to the standard Solar Savings tariff. A 25-year solar-payback model should not assume 25p for every year.

2,000 kWh/year£500£240

Is this the same as an Ofgem SEG tariff?

Good Energy publishes residential export products, but Good Energy is not named on Ofgem’s current 2026/27 mandatory or voluntary SEG licensee list. Treat the product as a commercial export tariff and read its own terms rather than inferring SEG status from a comparison table.

Feed-in Tariff customers

Good Energy says a FIT customer can switch the export element to Solar Savings while keeping FIT generation payments. Compare the actual deemed or metered FIT export value first, and check the rules for opting back before changing.

Eligibility checklist

  • Good Energy import supply.
  • Communicating smart meter with half-hourly readings.
  • No overlapping FIT export payment for the same electricity.
  • Qualifying solar-and-battery installation for the Exclusive rate.
  • Direct Debit and eligible import tariff where required by the tariff label.

Save the tariff information label or written confirmation that applies on the sign-up date. That evidence is more useful than a screenshot of a general solar sales page if the rate later differs from the contract.
