What information do we collect?

• If you contact us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address and message.
• If you request quotes, the form asks for your property, project and contact details.
• We may collect technical information about visits, such as IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, where the visit came from and the time of the visit.
• When you follow a tracked partner link, we may record the page you clicked from and a reference for that click.
• Cookies and similar technologies may also collect information, as explained in our cookie policy.

What happens when you request quotes?

Our quote partner is MyJobQuote. Before you send the form, we ask you to agree to your property, project and contact details being passed to MyJobQuote so suitable tradespeople can contact you about your solar project. Here4Solar uses these details to process your quote request.

The form links to MyJobQuote’s privacy policy and homeowner terms, which explain its service and use of information. Please read them before sending your request.

Using a postcode in the calculator

The optional postcode lookup sends your postcode to Postcodes.io to find its location. It then sends that location and your selected roof direction and slope to the European Commission’s PVGIS service for a solar estimate.

How do we use information?

We use information to run and protect the website, respond to messages, process quote requests, provide calculator estimates, understand partner-link performance, improve our content, maintain records and meet legal obligations.

Our legal reasons for using information

Depending on what you are doing, we may use information with your consent, to fulfil a contract, to meet a legal obligation or for our legitimate interests. Those interests include running a secure website, preventing fraud, understanding its basic performance and measuring referrals to our partners.

Who may receive information?

We may share relevant information with providers that support our hosting, email, security, analytics, affiliate referrals and professional services. Quote requests are shared as described above.

If you follow a partner link, the merchant or affiliate network may receive a click reference and process information under its own privacy policy. Check that policy when you visit its website.
