ECO4 solar eligibility

Free, no-obligation quote

ECO4 can be confusing. Keep a normal quote as a comparison.

If eligibility is uncertain, a paid quote gives you another option and a clearer sense of likely installed cost.

  • No pressure from Here4Solar
  • Personalised home quote
  • Check if solar could work
Compare paid solar options

Takes about a minute to start. OVO handles quote details and suitability checks.

ECO4 solar eligibility is not a general free-solar offer. It depends on the household, property, scheme route and whether the measure fits the wider energy-efficiency plan.

Household route

Eligibility may depend on benefits, income, vulnerability or local-authority routes.

Property route

The home may need assessment before solar is considered suitable.

Installer route

The organisation offering the work should explain who funds it and who owns the system.

Questions to ask about any ECO4 claim

Do not treat an advert as proof that you qualify. Ask which scheme route is being used and who will confirm eligibility.

  • Which ECO4 route applies?
  • Who checks household eligibility?
  • Is an EPC or home assessment required?
  • Are insulation or heating measures involved?
  • Who owns and maintains the panels?

Why a paid quote can still help

A normal solar quote gives you a fallback cost and makes it easier to judge whether a grant or funded route is genuinely valuable.

Avoid pressure

Be cautious if someone says eligibility is guaranteed before checks, pushes for an immediate signature, or cannot explain the scheme route in writing.
